4 Years

I am a little late. But that is the story of my life now with 2 daughters! January 29Th I celebrated 4 crazy wonderful years with my Love. We wanted it to be a fun celebration vs a romantic date. So we hit up our favorite Mexican restaurant Cafe Adobe. Kamryn is 2 months old and I had yet to have a margarita since her birth! I thought I would have 2, but I barely finished my one. We had a great time laughing together and remembering why we have worked so hard to get to where we are! And coincidentally they sat us at the only 2 person table right in front of the fireplace. So it ended up having a little bit of a romantic feel, which was a nice touch to compliment our modest evening.

Time for Change

It has obviously been a very long time since I have updated! Not since last April, when I found out that we were expecting a baby and vowed to turn my blog from a fashion outlet into a constant update of my growing belly and maternity fashion moments. Well that all went down the drain once I was reminded just how difficult pregnancy really is. Props to the women who can pull it off and still look fabulous, (see Nicole Richie, Heidi Klum). Months of constant nausea, exhaustion, back pain that landed me on the massage table and chiropractors office numerous times, emotional highs and lows, crazy shifts in appetite, and inevitably the dreaded extreme weight gain really did a number on my motivation to...well to put in any effort whatsoever. But now I have a beautiful baby girl to remind how it was all worth it. (even the 5 1/2 hours of extremely painful labor that ended in an even more painful delivery because my damn epidural failed me, yikes) She was born on December 4th, 2009.

{Horribly unflattering picture, but Im ok with that because this moment was so beautiful}

Needless to say, I have had NO time for anything! I never even finished the InStyle that my mom brought to me while I was in labor! This post is pretty lengthy and I promise they won't be this long from now on, but considering how long it has been I feel like a good update is in order.

Like I said, this blog started as a way for me to talk about things I love with people who love the same things. Basically anything fashion related. But now I have been inspired by this blog, and I realize there are alot of other things I love to blog about. To me, this is one of the most inspirational things I have ever read. I came across it the other day and I started from the beginning. It is sad, beautiful, emotional... It has inspired me to start really living my life, to do anything and everything I have ever wanted to do. So from now on (when I have time!) I am going to update this blog on everything important in my life. Surely this will still include fashion related topics. But I plan on broadening it to include everything from my children, Brandon's and my adventures together, my personal goals and aspirations and anything else I feel like talking about.

Hopefully this can become a way for me to put myself out there to share with whoever is interested, but more importantly, to discover more about who I am and what I want out of life!

This will be be the longest post, Im sure!

BB!

Yes, those are 2 positive pregnancy tests! I couldn't be more happy! So needless to say my blog is going to be a liiiittle different for a while. I intend to still maintain my personal fashion and style and try to live up to Nicole Richie's very high standard of Pregnant Chic. This might be a challenge for me because I hate wearing fitted clothes on a day when I feel even slightly bloated. But I am going to sport my growing belly like a brand new Chanel Bag!!!! And my friends could not be more supportive, which is why I love them soooo! Check out my best friends most recent blog entry dedicated to me here!

XOXO!

Liquid Love

I am absolutely 100% obsessed with Donna Karan's Spring 09 RTW Collection. I decided to do a post on it when I realized that I have NOT been able to stop looking at it!! The liquid satin and earthy tones just melt my heart. It looks like someone just poured the dresses onto these models. Oh what I would do for one of these dresses. Ahh...

The Roaring Twenties

In preparation for my upcoming birthday dinner I decided I wanted to find a perfect simple Nude dress. I told this to my bff yesterday and of course when I got home I had an email waiting for me in my inbox with about 15 dress suggestions. That is why I love her. I had in mind what I wanted, it was just the mission of going out and finding it now. But I was particularly fond of this Foley + Corinna dress she sent me: Even though it was not what I had originally had in mind. I have always been so awe-inspired by the Roaring Twenties! I find that period in time to be so glamorous and chic and everytime I come across a picture of some beautiful woman from the twenties, I get this feeling of nostalgia. I just long to be in the time, just for a day. How fabulous it must have been.

I am all but obsessed with this season's nudes AND all the colors colors colors!!! I can't help but be completely divided and want to stock my wardrobe with TONS of Nude, Beige and Cream shoes, dresses, tops etc on one side and Cherry Reds, Caribbean Blues, Sunny Yellows, Plum Purples and Corals on the other! I am having a hard time stopping myself from clicking "add to shopping bag" on all of these pieces!!

Isn't Spring just fantastic???

You make me feel so young

I just like the way this picture makes me feel.
It makes me think Breakfast at Tiffany's meets Factory Girl.
